The first day we went on a bike tour to and around the outskirts of Amsterdam. It was beautiful countryside, seeing lots of beautiful houses and gardens, and of course a Dutch wind mill. We also visited a farm that makes Gouda cheese and also the Dutch famous clogs.
In the afternoon we went to the Van Gogh museum that contains over 200 of his paintings.
On the second day we visited the Anne Frank house. We learned so much here, but came away quite sad. It is important though that stories such as this are told, and continue to be told throughout generations.
Luke was fortunate to organise a gig for the evening through a friend of a friend. It was at a small cafe/bar in the city (where, coincidentally, we had dinner on our first night in Amsterdam). It went extremely well and was great fun.
